Caesarea - one of ten most visited sites in Israel. The site combines a beautiful beach, a visitor center, and very impressive archeological ruins of Roman, Byzantine and Crusader cities.

On tour, we shall walk through the site from south to north. We'll visit the theater, Herod's palace, the roman stadium, the byzantine tax center, the crusader walls and the harbor.

Within the antiquities, we'll find hidden stories: Peter and Paul, Pontius Pilate and the Jews of the Great Revolt.

Openning hours of National Park: Winter: 08:00 - 16:00 Summer 08:00 - 17:00

Please make sure to bring a personal bottle of water.

Wear a hat and use sun screen in summer. The tour is mostly outdoors - dress according the wheather. Comfortable shoes or sandals are requried (Please - no high heals or flip-flops).

Unfortunatly - public transportation does not reach Caesarea regularly. By car or taxi: Close to the Coastal Road, near Caesarea, Sedot Yam, and west of Or Akiva.

Can be reached from the Coastal Road via the intersection near the “Orot Rabin” power station and from the old road as above, or via Or Akiva.

On our virtual tour of Zippori we shall walk through the water system, the Jewish neighborhood, the fort, and the market.
