I am a passionate Mumbaikar and has a keen interest in the culture and heritage of Mumbai. Over the last 5 years I have been doing Buddhist cave tours and culture walks in Mumbai which tell the story of the city. My favorite walk is the Gothic and Art Deco story of Mumbai. I have hosted hundreds of guests from 15 countries on this architecture walk. I am also a media technology veteran with multiple patents. I am the founder of sync2TV, a Mobile-alongside-TV marketing platform, with which TV content/ advertising can now become interactive via mobile phone in real time. Prior to getting into tourism, I have worked for more than a decade in WPP owned media agencies across India. China and Philippines. I am a master of silent meditation and a student of comparative religion. Other than architecture walks, I also hosts Buddhist cave tours around Mumbai. I holds a Bachelors in Mass Media (advertising and marketing) from S.I.E.S College, (Mumbai University). I also hold a Post Graduation Diploma (BRM) from Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmedabad.

Hello! I'm Sanjay, and I come from the lively city of Mumbai. I am passionate about travelling, cooking, photography, writing, digital arts, meditation, and storytelling. I really enjoy spending time with underprivileged slum childrens who don't have as much as others and teaching them basic education. I've been all over India as part of film crews, on solo tours, and with friends from countries like Germany, Japan, Canada, and Switzerland. For the past 16 years, I've been going on tours all around India, and it's been an amazing journey. I've learned so much from my own experiences and from listening to stories from other travelers. During my travels, I've met lots of people from different countries who've been exploring India for months, visiting all the famous cities and tourist spots. But many of them only knew about India from guidebooks like Lonely Planet. I was happy to meet them because it gave me a chance to share the real India—the stories, the culture, and the incredible things you won't find in guidebooks. This passion naturally led me to pursue a hobby as a tour guide. My love for being a tour guide extends beyond showcasing picturesque landscapes and iconic landmarks. It's about fostering cross-cultural understanding, breaking down barriers, and creating moments that transcend the ordinary. My Mumbai tour is dedicated to showcasing the rich cultural tapestry, history, architecture, bustling streets, and dynamic energy of Mumbai with an immersive and insightful.

Namaste My name is Shailesh and I have lived in Mumbai all my life. When I was young I used to play in the open fields and mess around down by my local stream with my friends. I used to cycle down all the local lanes, places that I take you on my tours even now, off the beaten track and a chance to see Bollywood city. My tours are very flexible and completely built to suit you. I drive to beautiful local places and tourist places and we frequently stop to take photographs and to walk around and also visit amazing market towns to stop for a bit of window shopping or just to admire the architecture. In between, we drive through amazing countryside and at lunchtime how about a traditional Indian meal for a pint and a bite to eat, or maybe a traditional afternoon tea? These are exclusive tours just for you and your party. Not only do I do one-day tours but as many as you would like, just let me know what interests you have and I can compose a tour for you each day. Depending on the duration of the tour days (more than one day), I can collect you from airports and Mumbai as well as any hotel you may be in the Mumbai and take you on one of these beautiful tours. I look forward to our experience together

Excellent Tour with Masumi

Did a half day tour of Shibuya from the Shinjuku area along with a lunch stop at a sushi place near Shibuya crossing. Masumi is very friendly and her English is excellent. Would book again with Masumi in a heartbeat.

Mountain tour

Leandra is passionate, amazing, accomodating and competent tour guide. We loved our tour in the Japanese Alpes. This tour is 12 hours therefore little children and people that cannot walk for long period of time should consider Leandra for a food tour instead But I would definitely and highly recomend Leandra if you want to discover different part of this amazing country. Thank you again for this memorable tour.

Exceptional Guide Made Tokyo a Breeze for My Daughter

I wanted to take a moment to share how impressed I was with the Mr Yasuro C., who assisted my daughter during her recent trip to Tokyo. From the very beginning, he made her feel at ease by meeting her at the airport and helping her navigate the subway system. His support didn’t stop there—he took the time to show her around and ensured she found her hotel without any issues. His friendliness, professionalism, and knowledge of the city made a huge difference in her experience. She felt safe, supported, and truly valued throughout her journey. I can’t thank him enough for his exceptional service. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable and caring guide in Tokyo, I highly recommend him!

Yasuro C.

Dear Cheski Baum, Thank you very much for your generous review on my guide service for your beloved daughter. I found she was very brave, clever and curious when I heard that she went to Ramen noodle shop nearby her hotel for the first night dinner, and, to my surprise, early in the next morning, she went to the Sengakuji Temple famous for the loyal 47 Samurais who dedicated their lives for their lord in the biggening of 18th century. We went around East side of Tokyo City, where there are many historical and traditional places like Imperial Palace Garden, Asakusa, etc. I suppose she can visit, by herself now, West Side of Tokyo City where there are more attractive places for young people as she already knows how to take trains and subways in Tokyo. Thank you again. Best regards, Yasuro
