The scenic Coconut Highway leads to Praia do Forte, a fishing village 80 kilometers north of Salvador, home to some of the best beaches in Bahia. Here we visit the ruins of the Garcia D´Ávila Castle (1556), once the home of the largest landowner in the New World. In this place, as soon as we arrive, guests will have the opportunity to visit the most important Sea Turtle project in the Country, TAMAR PROJECT, one of Brazil’s most successful ecological programs.. It is a great tour for everyone, specially families with kids. After this visiting, guests will take the time for shopping in the village or swim in the calm, warm water of Praia do Forte
This Castle was the home of the largest landowner in the New Worldand from the second flor, we can experience the breathtaking panoramic view of the northern coastline.
